Accident Scene Checklist
A good Fleet Safety and Crash Coutnermeasure program must include training for drivers on accident scene procedures. Studies have proven that training commercial drivers in "What to do at the Scene of an Accident" reduces the likelihood of having an accident.*
All collisions, no matter how minor, must be documented. Do not rely on driver experience or common sense. Include at least one Accident Scene Checklist with all new driver orientation and training paperwork and furnish every driver with accident report paperwork and instructions at least annually.
TVE's Accident Scene Checklist is a color, tri-fold brochure that fits neatly with driver and vehicle paperwork. Keep a copy with truck, tractor, trailer and driver paperwork. Step-by-step instructions to keep your driver on task include;
- securing the scene
- emergency warning devices
- notification (authorities, company personnel, etc)
- documentation of the accident scene
- $25 (50 copies; includes shipping)
Discounts available for TVE clients and insureds.
